Welcome to The Foresters Hall of Fame. The Hall aims to celebrate and highlight the achievements of players who have taken to the Oche for the Foresters. New members are added each year, with a ceremony described as the Oscars of Darts.

Members of the Hall of Fame are selected by analysing Player Performance over the course of a season. To be considered for induction, players have to have played one full season incorporating a minimum of 10 games. If something truly memorable where to happen to a player, winning a competition or hitting numerous lamp shades for example, that player would also be considered for induction.

Players can be inducted in one of four categories:- Player Rankings, 3 Dart Average, Checkout and People’s Choice.

2007 Inductees

The 2007 inductees are, Alan Williams, James Calvert, John Vickers and Stephen Sarbutts.

Alan Williams finished top of the Player Ranking category with 78.50 ranking points, so is inducted by way of the Player Rankings category. Alan finished 8.40 points ahead of the second placed player.

James Calvert finished the season with the best 3 dart average of any player, 40.73. James is inducted by way of the 3 Dart Average category. This average indicates that every time James visited the board he would score at least 40.73 points.

John Vickers achieved the best ever checkout by a Foresters player with a superb 142, this finish came against Frames in February in 2007. John’s finish means he is inducted by way of the Checkout category.

Stephen Sarbutts achieved notoriety and became an enemy of lamp shades everywhere last season. His greatest hit was very nearly one of the great checkouts. Requiring 154 away to the Pacific ‘B’, he hit treble 20, treble 18 and when going for double-top a massive ding resonated around the pub as the lamp shade was hit with authority. These antics have led Stephen to be inducted by way of the People’s Choice category.

2006 Inductees

The 2006 inductees are, Joe Metcalfe, Joe Fearon, Ian Henderson and Harry Brew.

Joe Metcalfe finished top of the Player Ranking category with 92.50 ranking points, so is inducted by way of the Player Rankings category. Joe finished 5.9 points ahead of the second placed player.

Joe Fearon finished the season with the best 3 dart average of any player, 38.82. Joe is inducted by way of the 3 Dart Average category. This average indicates that every time Joe visited the board he would score at least 38.82 points.

Ian Henderson achieved the seasons highest checkout by a Foresters player with 97, what makes this feat even more special is that in came in Ian’s first ever competitive match. Ian’s finish means he is inducted by way of the Checkout category.

Harry Brew, who would become known as “Balls of Steel” had a very memorable 2005-2006 season. H, showed on countless occasions that he had no fear by winning many games when the match stood at 4-4. There are few other players in the team who you could regularly call upon when the match was locked at 4-4. These performances have led Harry to be inducted by way of the People’s Choice category.
