Comments from Chuck Norris…
Hi Guys,
Well it was long overdue, I think the last time we beat these guys John Darwin was still officially alive!
I was very confident of victory as we set off like a train, JV turned in a great performance, nearly tin hatting his opponent. Then the boy Sarbutts continued his revival with another great game to make it 2-0. Both great victories, one of my greatest victories was when I defeated IBM’s Deep Blue computer chess program using only one pawn and the car from Monopoly. I also collected £200 for passing “Go” in the process.
2-0 quickly became 2-2 as the skipper and last years number one player lost their games. Andy Nesbit and Liam Williams looked good in the middle order as they put us into a 4-3 lead. Then the old war horse stepped up to the plate. The boy Ainscough played very well and showed great composure to see the match home in the Foresters favour. It nearly brought a tear to my eye, but it didn’t.
So next week sees us journey to play the Clubmoor Cons A, so until next week.
And remember this, the bible was originally called “Chuck Norris and Friends”.
