Poor Lisa Esterman has been through a lot. The Boise, Idaho resident was struck by lightning and considered dead. After she was revived with CPR, she laid in a coma for two weeks. Now, she’s awake, and finally ready to tell her story. Unfortunately, it’s difficult to hear it over the spasmodic electro-beats coming from the screwed up tape, but in all honesty, if you have been struck by lightning then this is what you should sound like!
Hi Guys, this game was very much a case of what might have been. At 3-1 up I expected victory, but, it was not to be. It was a disappointing end to what could be my last game with you, I’m in training for the Tour de France, I won it last year, which was no mean feat considering I was on a pogo stick.
It was another improved performance against a team that had previously beaten us 8-1 earlier in the season, to lose 6-3 was unlucky, but to be in a position where we should have won, bodes well.
So I shall leave you with this thought, I play pin the tail on the donkey with real donkey’s.
The game that is missing for us is the away game against All Saints, looks like it was lost in the post. As of the 14th December we currently have 10 points. I have included the standings in the other divisions in case anyone is interested.
The match on the 13th December, which was originally an away fixture, is now going to be played at the “Home of Darts”.
Clubmoor Cons A where already playing away from their original base due to it being refurnished, but now they aren’t playing out of The Bridge any more, so are having to play their home games, away from home.
Well it was long overdue, I think the last time we beat these guys John Darwin was still officially alive!
I was very confident of victory as we set off like a train, JV turned in a great performance, nearly tin hatting his opponent. Then the boy Sarbutts continued his revival with another great game to make it 2-0. Both great victories, one of my greatest victories was when I defeated IBM’s Deep Blue computer chess program using only one pawn and the car from Monopoly. I also collected £200 for passing “Go” in the process.
2-0 quickly became 2-2 as the skipper and last years number one player lost their games. Andy Nesbit and Liam Williams looked good in the middle order as they put us into a 4-3 lead. Then the old war horse stepped up to the plate. The boy Ainscough played very well and showed great composure to see the match home in the Foresters favour. It nearly brought a tear to my eye, but it didn’t.
So next week sees us journey to play the Clubmoor Cons A, so until next week.
And remember this, the bible was originally called “Chuck Norris and Friends”.
